Our security alarms are made to standards that meet all relevant U.K. and E.C. directives, regulations and environmental guidelines and the aerosol alarms use non-CFC gases. All our standard-sized models of alarm will fit easily into a coat or uniform pocket, handbag or briefcase, and are ideal wherever there may be a risk of mugging, assault or attempted rape.
Our key-ring style alarms serve the same purpose but are designed to be attached to car or house key sets or worn on items of clothing - very useful to summon help from passers-by, householders or colleagues nearby.

Staff Defenders personal emergency alarms can also be used to summon help in case of fire, intruders, sudden illness, attack by animals or other distress or danger and, used into a telephone, can help to prevent the repeat of obscene telephone calls.

Our (environmentally friendly) aerosol-based alarms are slightly cheaper, are shaped for easy handling or carrying in the pocket, and are activated by the user exerting pressure on the cap. The two larger models will function for 3/4 minutes of continuous use or over 150 short busts. When any alarm’s gas supply is depleted the cap is simply placed atop a new refill canister. Our electronic alarms are very slightly bulkier and heavier, they make a similarly loud noise, but are activated by a rip-cord mechanism. Each of the three models is easily recharged by fitting a new battery or power cell. Staff Defenders offers you a choice of 3 aerosol alarms and 3 electronic models.
